Pleasanton Cavaliers

Cavaliers Rugby is committed to develop the community-accepted traits of responsibility, compassion, self-discipline, honesty, respect, and integrity through the sport of rugby, regardless of ability. Founded in 2009, our club has grown each year as youth players and their familes come to realize the benefits that the sport of rugby provides. These benefits include:

  • Fun
  • Fitness
  • Teamwork
  • The chance to play a new sport, the 2nd most team popular sport in the world
  • The opportunity to play rugby against the best youth competition in the USA
  • College scholarship opportunities
As an all volunteer organization, the Pleasanton Cavaliers welcome those interested in getting involved with our club. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available, most requiring no rugby experience whatsoever. For those interested in giving back to the youth of our community, please contact us at:

Danville Oaks

About the Oaks

The Danville Oaks Rugby Club's mission is to provide youth in the Tri-Valley qualified instruction in rugby fundamentals and to engender a life-long love of the sport. Teams of varying levels of competition, from recreational (everyone welcome, all play in games) to highly competitive (highest-skilled players selected to play in games) are offered. Play becomes more competitive as players advance in age and ability.

The Oaks consists of six age groups from U8’s to High School Varsity. Players are trained in the techniques and strategies required for playing the game of Rugby with the objective of building a solid, fun, competitive base to prepare young athletes for all of their current and future endeavors. The essential features of Rugby, good sportsmanship and fair play, are key components of the program. Players are given the opportunity to reach their full potential in a fun environment, irrespective of size, body shape or ability.

The Oaks have been successful at placing a number of boys and girls high school rugby players at premier colleges. Some Oaks players have received full scholarships or financial aid assistance for college. Oaks players have represented our country on the USA National Team, Collegiate All American Team, the High School All Americans and other All Star sides.
